Located in the heart of New York's Fingerlakes region, Terraluma Designs features one-of-a-kind, custom made jewelry art.  Many of our stones have been hand cut in our studio just outside of Ithaca, New York.  We never use casting - all our pieces are hand forged.  We aim to create quality pieces of wearable art to someday become family heirlooms. 

Our Opals

We specialize in hand-cut Australian opals.  Many of our pieces are unusual shapes - as we cut our stones to preserve the beauty of the stone.  We feature a variety of Australian opals including Lightening Ridge, Mintabie, Coober Pedy and gems from newer fields including Allen's Rise and our personal favorite, Dead Horse Gully.  We have Australian crystal. black, white, grey, matrix and boulder opals with a variety of fire patterns.  The beauty of opals is no two stones are the alike.  This allows us to create pieces in a large variety of colors and styles.

Our Jewelry

Each piece is one of a kind.  Our lapidary and jewelry artist is inspired by jewelry art from ancient cultures.  We use both sterling silver (925 and 999) and 14kt yellow gold in our settings.  Our pieces are made with precious and semi-precious gemstones and/or cultured pearls and are hand-knotted with 100% natural silk string.
